Our Rotterdam highlights
We’ve carefully curated this list to capture the true spirit of Rotterdam from world-famous landmarks to local favorites that often fly under the radar. As some of our editors still live in Rotterdam (plus my girlfriend is a real Rotterdammer) the highlight list is genuine and near perfection in my opinion. The selection balances architecture, culture, nature, history, and culinary experiences, offering something for every kind of traveler. Whether you’re here for a weekend or a week, these highlights will help you dive deep into what makes Rotterdam so special.

The building itself is a work of art, with a striking mirrored façade that reflects the city’s skyline. Inside, visitors can explore over 150,000 artworks, ranging from classical to contemporary art. The experience isn’t just about looking at paintings; it’s about understanding the entire process behind art curation. This is my favorite building in The Netherlands at this point.
